The work ahead
BEL’s plans connect learning, mentorship, culture, and practical support with places people can use.
These are proposed programs and future spaces. They are not currently presented as operating facilities.
Places for children and teens to read, learn, develop discipline, and receive consistent guidance.
Coaching, life-skills development, and entrepreneurship training that help people put knowledge into practice.
Space for young people to develop creative skills, with opportunities for murals, artist collaborations, and cultural expression.
Spaces for physical development, coaching, teamwork, and purposeful use of young people’s energy.
A longer-term ambition for practical support and shelter within a wider network of community care.
Exploring the youth center
This initial concept groups quiet learning, mentoring, creative work, and physical activity around a shared arrival space. The room arrangement is an illustration of the vision, not an established building design.
Proposed spatial relationships only. Dimensions, circulation, accessibility, structure, and services require a developed architectural design.
